The Black & White Shoot 9/25/2022

This is a Free Shoot (TFP). We will be meeting in front of the Staten Island Ferry Terminal in Manhattan at 9am. The number for Big Kenny is 646-463-3724 and the number for Little Kenny is 646-202-3274. If you need to call, please text your name before calling. We will start moving around 9:15am. We walk until we find interesting spots to shoot. We stop for 20-30 minutes and then move to the next location.

We will be using WhatsApp and we have a Group Chat just in case you get lost or you just want an easy way to communicate with the group. Text Big Kenny to be included in the group chat.

Photo Shoot Tips and Ideas

Models

Bring at least three to four outfits and accessories in a rolling suitcase. Wear comfortable shoes while we walk. Change into your heels when we stop to shoot. Accessories like hats, scarves, costume jewelry, and glasses can pull your look together so come prepared. You get as many shots as you pose for. Shoot with at least three photographers in each outfit. It is your responsibility to get the photographers contact info. Come Shoot Ready. Don't bring any valuables but if you do, it is your responsibility to watch them.

Photographers

This is a Walking Shoot so travel light or bring a rolling cart to carry your gear. Make sure that you provide your contact info to the models and please provide the images to the models in a timely fashion. DO NOT MONOPOLIZE the Models time. Spend no more than five minutes with a model and move on to the next one. Time permitting, you can shoot the model again if they are free.

Make-Up Artists

Since this is a Walking Group Shoot, you have to keep it simple and you have to be quick. You can do something more elaborate near the end after the model has exhausted her wardrobe and if she agrees with the concept that you discussed with her prior. It is your duty to get the photographer and models contact info.

Designers/Stylists

This is a Walking Shoot so bring your designs in a rolling suitcase or knapsack. Wear comfortable walking shoes. You are responsible for keeping track of your garments and belongings. You are also responsible for getting the contact info of the photographers and models wearing/shooting your designs.

What to wear??

This is a Black and White Shoot meaning that we are trying to produce Black and White images from this shoot. You can wear whatever looks you want to be shot in. Try to bring three to four different, distinct looks. Think long flowing sun dress, wife beater and jeans, casual button down shirt and casual dress pants, and maybe a dressy dress for a night out. Of course if you wanted to be shot in an Addidas Track Suit or a Ballerina Tutu, we will shoot that too.

For our Male Models, bring three to four looks as well. These are just suggestions so one look could be a Suit and Tie. Another could be a Wife Beater and Jeans. Mix it up. We will shoot whatever you want to wear. Ultimately, you should shoot with looks that you want to add to your Portfolio.
